Billingham, Teesside

The England Physical Disability team will continue their preparation for the Vitality International T20 Tri Series with a visit to the North East to take on long-time hosts NUSC on Sunday, June 10 at Billingham Synthonia CC.

The two-match T20 series launches the unique amateur NUSC organization's 12th season featuring a record number of international games, and will be hosted by local community volunteer club Billingham Synthonia CC (BSCC) after extensive work led by three of their young members Tom Wing, Tom Harper and Elliott Holmes to showcase their club’s desire to host the ECB.

John D Holland, NUSC Director of Cricket noted ‘I thank the ECB once again for their show of support in NUSC events and in its ability to defy the cricketing odds, to be such a key part of their warm-up plans for the International Tri-Series just a few days later’.

Neil Bradshaw, ECB Disability Manager was pleased to see the PD team returning to the North East adding “it is always a unique challenge against the NUSC, and we look forward to experiencing Billingham Synthonia CC whose young cricketers passion to host the team is most welcome, and encouraging for the future of their club”.

Tom Wing, BSCC’s Operations Manager for the ECB's visit added ‘BSCC is a proud volunteer community club, and I would like to thank NUSC and the ECB for their trust in BSCC to host such a key tour for them.  It lifts volunteers to know BSCC has the opportunity to showcase itself on June 10 to the ECB.  I encourage the whole community to come down, enjoy the day and show the ECB what it means to be hosting them in Billingham’.

Gates at BSCC will open 0930 on Sunday, June 10th with T20 matches to start at 1030 and 1400 played to IT20 regulations in full coloured clothing.
